Lynda Cohen Performing Arts Series
Inspired by her love for music and the mountains, Lynda Cohen imagined a free concert series where people from far and wide could come together among the mountains of Crawford Notch in New Hampshire.
Schedule
Preceded by a family-oriented pre-dinner workshop - 4:30 to 5:30 p.m.
Grammy winner Rick Nestler & classically trained musician Donna Nestler perform in a variety of traditional genres including Skiffle, blues, country, folk, and maritime. Both are multi-instrumentalists who play guitars, autoharps, ukuleles and concertinas, among other things.
Rik Palieri, through his long and varied experiences as a performer, gracefully segues from original tunes on guitar to intricate, involved ballads from the mountains of Poland on the rare and exotic Polish bagpipes.
New for 2024, this concert will feature an early family-oriented showcase of music from the Maritime tradition, starting at 4:30pm.
The Nestlers and Palieri will take families on a musical journey along oceans, rivers, canals, and lakes. Audiences will join in on real sea shanties and sailor leisure time songs. The performance will feature Rick’s original “The River That Flows Both Ways” and other songs written about waterways from around the world.

Reid & Andersen will play separately and together, with a wealth of original songs and instrumentals mixed with slashing blues, down-home bluegrass, grass-roots gospel, celtic, razor-sharp duet harmonies, dazzling fiddle tunes and flashy guitar and autoharp instrumentals.
Mesmerizing harmonies, passionate collaborations, deep and hard-hitting musicianship, good-natured humor, stories and stage interplay drawn from decades of touring make for an unforgettable and moving concert experience.

The Sensational Barnes Brothers are a musical blend of old and new, a real gem in the gospel/soul scene. As PopMatters states, “The brothers run through a spectrum of moods and modes in their gospel soul, often bridging the gap between, say, the Soul Stirrers and Stax, all the while keeping a local flavor.” The brothers can dive deep into their roots, creating a sound that reflects the music of their history, all the while drawing in a modern-day audience.
The Sensational Barnes Brothers are featured on vocalist Don Bryant’s Grammy-nominated album "Don't Give Up on Love," and you can also hear them on several tracks from the album XOPA by Latin Grammy-nominated Making Movies. The band has also recorded with the lead singer of The Black Keys, Dan Auerbach.
These talented brothers made their mark with their first album - Nobody’s Fault But My Own - under Bible and Tire Recording Co. Fat Possum. Their new album of all originals will be released in fall 2024.
For over six decades, Bryan Bowers has been to the autoharp what Earl Scruggs was to the five-string banjo. He presents instrumental virtuosity combined with warmth, eloquence, expression, and professionalism.
Bower’s creativity and talent have won him inductions into Frets magazine’s First Gallery of the Greats, as well as being the first living member inducted into the Autoharp Hall of Fame after Maybelle Carter, Kilby Snow, and Sara Carter. Bryan has teamed up with two other über pickers, Danny Knicely (world-class Virginian mandolinist, guitarist, mandocellist) and Geoff Goodhue (New England-based singer and multi-instrumentalist) to create American folk and mountain music at its finest.
